What Payment Types Are Available
EFTPOS/Credit/Cash
As one of our most popular dental payment options, we accept all forms of EFTPOS payments, including Visa, MasterCard and Amex (for purchases over $100). In addition, we also accept cash payments if that is your preference. Simply talk to the lovely team and we’ll be able to sort out the best dental payment options for you!
HICAPS — Easy On‑The‑Spot Claims
At Fresh Family Dental, we offer HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payments Service) to make your dental bill easier to manage.
With HICAPS, if you have private health insurance with applicable dental extras, we can process your claim right here in the clinic. That means:
- Instant claims — Your health fund claim is lodged at the time of payment.
- Faster refunds — You get your rebate from your insurer immediately instead of waiting for a manual claim.
- Simplified billing — No paperwork to take home or log in later.
Do Dentists Do AfterPay?
If you’re living in the 21st Century, you’ve probably heard of AfterPay. Good news, so have we! If you haven’t heard about it, here’s a rundown.
AfterPay is one of our favourite dental payment options that enables you to have your new natural smile now and fix up cost over four equal fortnightly charges - interest free! The way it works is simple too.
Step 1: Create an Afterpay account.
Step 2: Reach out to the team at Fresh Family Dental to organise your appointment. Step 3: Simply scan your AfterPay barcode at the front desk and just like that, you’re done!
Best of all, it can be used for any range of services including general dental, emergency dental, teeth whitening, crowns and root canals.
Can I Make My Dental Payment Through the CDBS?
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) runs under Medicare and means that children who are eligible can receive as much as $1158 across two years to cover a wide variety of children’s dental needs. As a Gold Coast family dentist, we absolutely offer this to our clients as a bulk billed service as we know how much it can really help with the family budget. The scheme is available for families who are at the same time already receiving other benefits.
Veterans Affairs/DVA Payments
You may be able to receive services through the Department of Veterans Affairs if you have an assessed clinical need and hold a Veteran Gold Card or a Veteran White Card.
Through this system, patients are eligible for a range of services, including regular check ups, treatments, and provision and ongoing maintenance of dentures.
An Annual Monetary Limit (AML) does apply for certain high-cost items such as some bridges and crowns. If your high-cost items exceed the AML of $2,643.25 per calendar year, you may need to make a co-payment however we will discuss any high-cost work with you before it begins.
